Anime Crusaders Tournaments Guide
Trait Mode vs Traitless Mode, 7-day seasons, rank tiers, and how to compete for leaderboard rewards.
Tournaments are Anime Crusaders’ competitive weekly PvE ladder. They run in two formats — Trait Mode and Traitless Mode — across 7-day seasons with automatic resets. This page explains how to enter, how each format works, and how to climb without burning resources on the wrong units.
Tournament Formats
Trait Mode enables all unit traits. This means Crusader, Eclipse, Aurora, and other synergy traits directly affect your board. If you own a Crusader trait unit (300% damage, 10% range, 10% cooldown), Trait Mode tournaments heavily favor accounts that have landed one. Draft around your best trait synergy, not just raw rarity.
Traitless Mode strips all traits. Pure unit stats, targeting class, and placement determine outcome. This format rewards accounts that have invested in high-base-DPS units regardless of trait rolls. Akuzo vs Renkuro, Sun Woo (System), and Goko (Perfected) shine here because their base stats carry without trait support.
Rank Tiers
Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → Grandmaster. Each tier unlocks better Gem rewards and cosmetic recognition. You do not need S-tier units to climb — placement strategy and avoiding dead weight matter more than in standard PvE.
Entry and Resets
Tournaments open automatically. No sign-up fee. The season resets every 7 days. Check the in-game UI for the current season format before you commit resources.
Element System in Infinity Castle
The August 2026 update added an Element System to Infinity Castle: Fire beats Nature, Nature beats Water, Water beats Fire. Light and Dark are neutral to each other. Units deal 50% bonus damage against elements they counter. Build elemental coverage into your tournament boards to exploit this multiplier.
Resources
Tournaments do not consume Gems to enter but reward Gem baskets to top ranks. Use team slots to experiment with tournament builds before committing. Do not pull on banners specifically for tournament mode unless you are near Grandmaster and need a specific counter.
